If you have never dived before and are keen to try, come on our Poor Knights Day Trip and enjoy a single Try Dive at the Poor Knights Marine Reserve including gear hire.
There is nothing quite like breathing underwater for the first time. It does take a little getting used to but after a few minutes of amazement, you will see what all the hype is about. That feeling of weightlessness, seeing the fish up close and just seeing if scuba diving is an activity you might like to continue with in the future, a Try Dive is a great way to take the plunge without committing to a PADI Open Water Course.
Our Try Dive includes…
- A short theory lesson on the boat which includes the basic skills and safety of scuba diving, and details of how the scuba equipment works. Then you will be ready to take your first breaths underwater.
- Direct supervision of an Instructor in a safe, shallow environment. The length of the dive depends on each individual, your air consumption and personal comfort levels. We would generally expect it to last around 30 minutes.
Once your Try Dive is completed you are welcome to snorkel for any remaining time at the dive sites.
Cost $340 per person
IMPORTANT NOTES:
Try dives must be arranged with Yukon Dive prior to the day of departure to ensure that we have enough instructors and crew available to give you the best possible quality one-on-one Try Dive experience.
Anyone wanting to do a Try Dive requires a certain level of fitness, health and the ability to swim. We need to know in advance if you have any health conditions such as, but not limited to heart disease, diabetes, ear problems or asthma. We can email you that form that you will be required to complete on the day, it does not need to be completed in advance however it is essential that you understand the questions before making a Try Dive booking. If you answer YES to any of the questions on the day, the dive will not be able to proceed and no refunds will be given.
The good news is, if you know in advance that you have a medical issue we can get a PADI medical questionnaire to you for your GP to complete and ok the dive if appropriate.
